A day in the life of...

Today was a typical one for us since our move up here. Hugh got up early. I got up...later. Hugh had done 20 chores before I finished my morning coffee but I tried to catch up with some yardwork. I got two butterfly bushes planted by the pool and will have to clear out the garden boxes the previous owners started and build higher scaffolding for the pea plants who are growing out of control. Perhaps plant some tomato plants and herbs. Did some weeding and moving big rocks around. Hugh cleaned the house in preparation for our dinner guests, Yates and her son Jason. Yates is our real estate agent. We went into town (all the way to the REAL grocery store) to get dinner supplies and sang too loudly all the way home. We think that we finally have the waterfall water tight...mostly. The upper fall still needs a little work. our neighbor, the pond guy, is getting some more lionhead goldfish and a little turtle for us to put in there too. Yates and her son, Jason arrived by 4pm and we had an excellent dinner Hugh created. Breaded chicken, roasted peppers, artichoke hearts and asparagus. We also had salad and Yates brought potato salad, cake, bread, and champagne plus a house warming gift. Yes, she is super sweet! We are all stuffed! Check out the related pictures posted.

Tomorrow I think that we are going to a nature conservancy to take a guided tour. There is a second one in the evening at another park that we may attend as well. Hopefully will get some weed whacking done in between!

Another day in the life of...
